Being in Human Resources (HR) can take time to handle. After all, the HR department plays an integral role in ensuring the success of organizations by nurturing and developing human capital. Nevertheless, Human Resources Week is a campaign I lead to change people’s HR perspective and learn why their job is valuable for businesses.

HR professionals carry out multiple tasks in an organization. They must follow important legislation, help co-workers get paid, and plan those fun company parties after a long year’s work.

Human Resource Week is an opportunity to learn about what HR does to improve employees’ lives and allow people to join the HR industry. Hence, The Human Resource Week is about thanking and appreciating the hard work of HR staff since they handle the most difficult situations, such as staff negotiations, corporate liaison, and legislation interpreting.

It is also a great day to raise awareness about this job role and share information about what it is like to be part of the HR community.

As a project lead, I planned all the activities, coordinating with some government agency internal departments involved, providing and designing campaign materials, awareness presentation for HR policies for the employees. Including on-boarded employees as an awareness on any revision done in all Policies and procedures: campaign brochure and Booth including event organizing and entertainment.

The said campaign lasted for a week, and we assigned HR representatives to all corners of the company to cater to and support employees with their queries. Moreover, the event was completed with 100% satisfaction company-wide.
