A CNA, or Certified Nursing Assistant, is a healthcare professional who provides basic care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). CNAs are sometimes referred to as nurse aides, patient care technicians, or nursing assistants. They assist with daily patient care tasks like dressing, bathing, and checking patient vital signs.
These vital patient care providers are the backbone of the American healthcare system. And with a short certification process, becoming a CNA is often the most accessible way for new workers to join the nursing field.
The more things change, the more I grow. As I progressed in the medical field, the profession became more profound than I could imagine. Nursing Assistant, I found that this profession wasn’t just a title or position; it was an avocation to explore! My journey has spanned complexity in my work, professional practice, and operational leadership. My career has encompassed many changes along with my journey.
Well, Congratulations on completing my training and certification as a Nursing Assistant in 2022! This is a significant achievement, and I should be proud of my dedication and hard work. As a certified nursing assistant, I will have various opportunities in the healthcare field, assisting nurses and other healthcare professionals in providing essential care to patients. I took this training as I look forward to take care of my parents when they’re old and I rather take care of them than sending them to nursing home.
My certification will allow me to work in various healthcare settings, such as hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, and assisted living facilities. I will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, observing patient conditions, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.

And learning is a continue process so keeping my certification up to date by meeting any necessary renewal requirements and continuing my professional education. This will help me stay current in my skills and knowledge within the field and enhance my professional growth.
