The Young Technicians is assigned to the Industrial Area for which he was recruited and introduced to his future Manager/Superintende; but during the duration of the YT Program, he will be sharing his time between training and working activities.
This YT Program is meant to be followed by all Industrial areas, as after the Induction (group of basic courses with common content for all the employees joining the Company) the whole training, either the OJT, its supporting training materials, the Fundamentals (group of courses almost common for the industrial Area) or any other specific content; has been customized to the specific training need of each particular department, area, operative cell, WP. Note: the training curriculum for any Operative Cell/Department is the sequence of needed courses and OJT’s to cover a WP with a proved proficiency.
The duration of the YT Program will be of up to a maximum of 6 months based on the requirements of the entry WP where he is assigned and the capabilities of the trainee. As soon as all the steps of the training have been covered and the evaluations involved in each of the training activities were successfully passed, the trainee will be considered proficient in the assigned WP and the program will be considered completed by him.
As a Project Strategy, L&D, & eLearning lead for this project, A 3 – 6-month development program implemented for fresh Saudi technical diploma/associate degree graduates. It contains On-the-Job Training (OJT) and many other necessary trainings that prepare these newly graduated technicians to become competent in their target roles. I works on training material from documentation, clerrical review, proof reading, designing eBook and interactive digital copy and created in scorm compliant that are made available through ArcelorMittal University’s e-learning / Learning Management System (LMS) and includes short videos, a booklet, and an OJT plan. Training participants must pass three formal evaluations, and there are consequences for failure. The creator’s responsibilities for this ongoing project include on-boarding and material preparation, awareness sessions related to eLearning platform, monitoring the progress of OJT Plan, performing evaluation analysis and documentation, and controlling eLearning access.
