Consider if the concept of romancing the market is relevant.

Since I read about a discussion prompt about the above heading, I have to skip a day from my lessons, to visit or I can say re-visit my favorite shop nearby. Zara, a clothing line. What I love about this place is that aside from the choice of music that makes you jive and do a tango or somewhat reggae (seasonally), then a samba is the customer attitude towards us consumers. well, I used to visit and do my window shopping (supposedly) but ended up with paper bags (Lol). The crew is so accommodating they create a connection, as they put themselves in my shoes to serve and give us the right taste of what we are looking for. Of course more conversation the more they understand what I am and what I need.

They speak like my neighborhood and not a scripted unexperienced newbie in the house. They addressed stuff on me according to my mood and that was amazing. Maybe they read my mood and splash a bunch of good vibes words to make me smile. They sound like a real living person. Nothing will turn your prospects off faster than a dose of corporate jargon. They are real. They relate to my needs using words they understand. They provide the information your prospects actively seek and I love it and it is a good sign of romancing your customer. There is a notion making it easy to find your information when, where, and how your audience wants to consume it, and that’s what they do.

There is also an instance when I want something and explain it, which for some out of the knowledge they are stuck on providing information about what I want. In this shop, they will listen and help figure it out by showing some images or videos. And the fact that they are knowledgeable about the product, they started to tell a story about who wears the clothes in a certain event and sometimes the story behind the design.

Here’s the good thing, all of the staff in that shop, I almost knew them all, they are so friendly they introduce their team like Mark, the supervisor, Jean, Spencer, Ahmed, Ventikar, Jaykumar, and the best of them is Sittie, She is gorgeously smart. Then selected one of the tems and asked me to fit in, and I enjoyed it coz they made me like a supermodel asking me to stand tall and pose a better way in front of the mirror (LOL). Of course, they are so friendly, and you don’t feel the way of rubbing (lolz). They showcase new arrivals and old stock that might be my choice to consider. By the way, when I left the shop, I brought with me 3 candies with a Thank you mark and a QR Code for feedback.

That is all my story from my visit last day in Zara. I am so in love right now, that’s what romancing customers or consumers does in marketing. Kudos to the ZARA staff. and of course, been so observant during this visit. (It feels like a comedy for me as I don’t used to consciously observe) but just for my study. I hope you find it great. Please let me know if I missed observing some important parts. Thank you
